We bought this printer about six months ago for home use. We do not have a home office, so we just use it for light-moderate printing, mostly of web pages. We do not do photo printing, but we have used it for some photo and document scanning. So far, the printer has been great. The printing is clear with bright colors and it is relatively fast for a home printer. It was easy to set up the printer on our home network, and we have easily connected many computers (including visiting computers) to it. Occassionally we have had some issues with the printer not accepting jobs, when we do have to shut it down and reboot it. But this isn't a major issue since these times are the only time we ever turn it off!
Overall, this has been a good printer for our needs. But if you are looking for something that can handle higher volume and bigger jobs, this is probably not the printer for you.

No trouble setting up the wireless capability. It is a little loud but does a good job with all of its functions.

Have had this set up for a month now and am very pleased so far. We set up one at home and one at work and the set up for both went smoothly with just a couple glitches that went away with rebooting or other suggestions made by the printer. We had an HP printer for several years before so wanted to go with this again. The wireless feature is such a treat. We can send from our laptop downstairs. When we set the second one up for work, we use the same laptop so did have to install two sets of drivers but they labeled them differently and so far that is working well too. The scan feature is the only thing that seems to have a glitch communicating with the computer. It worked fine to scan a photo when I set it up but now doesn't want to scan documents. We so seldom use this that I haven't taken the time to trouble shoot that. Others have complained about the unit being noisy, but we don't think it is bad at all. Nice to have the duplex printing on both sides. Replacement ink cartridges seem more expensive than the last model, but I think that is universal now that people are printing more photos and there are 3 separate color catridges. The fact is that all printers make their money off you with subsequent supply purchases and you just have to deal with that. We are very happy with our two 6500s so far.
