 "go buy an instax" 2010-05-25
By Quan D. (San Jose, Ca)
doodes. I bought this printer instead of the Instax Camera because i wanted to use my own lens (namely the 35L). This printer would be pretty sick if it can print more than 5 photos without running outa batteries. Plugging the printer in isnt a huge issue except the adapter is as big as your face. There goes portability unless you wanna bring a wheelbarrow wherever you go to carry the adapter. The print quality is pretty horrible, i would except it if it were just noise but the printer makes ur photo quite blurry. The colors are also really ugly. I use and love the old instant polaroid colors and thought since it is the same brand they would reproduce the same quality the old photos use to have. NOPE i was dead wrong, the colors are not classic, they aren't retro, they are definitely NOT cool, they are just plain ugly. Im gona go buy an instax camera, you guys should probably spend ur money on that aswell.

 "Printer or Toy?" 2010-05-11
By Wedase (Northern Wisconsin)
I bought this item on a whim. I seen it, knew my wife has a Sony photo printer and seen how well it worked. The one thing I like about this printer is the portability. But when you weigh it against the size of the print (2"x 3") it becomes a novelty item. Okay, that said, it has a Bluetooth connection which when linking to my cell phones was immediately found and pairing was a breeze.

The noise level is virtually nil and the speed is pretty quick. The ink is in the paper so that works well. The price is why I bought it.

One thing I found is to check your phone to see what services it has. My son has a Motorola Rival which worked with the printer also. On the Polaroid website they show a list of compatible cell carriers, manufacturers and models and his wasn't a compatible model but it worked. The printer uses the Bluetooth service "object push" to work its magic with your cell phone or you have to use the USB 2.0 interface for your digital camera.

The concept is highly appreciable but the size of the photo makes me say "don't waste your money". Spend your money on a quality photo printer whose limit is being plugged in, there are some nice ones out there for the same price I paid for my toy. The idea makes sense so it shouldn't be too long and someone will come out with a model that gives a bigger photo.

"No star. I regret buying this" 2010-05-10

I regret buying this printer. Almost all of the pictures i've printed have broad streaks on them. Very bad quality

 "PoGo a NoNo" 2010-05-06
By Brian Castro (ny, ny)
Stopped working after a few prints, and the few it spit out were streaky and the colors were off. It was very slow, the refills are very expensive - .35 each print, AND you are not allowed to touch the front of the unprinted paper or you will ruin it! I only gave it 1 star because i had to in order to post my review!

Save your money and buy a Canon Selphy portable printer. I think it has sticker paper as well. It's small enough to fit in a book bag and the prints are outstanding!

"The novelty will wear off for adults.." 2010-03-31
By Steve Martin (Burbank, CA)
This is a fun device for making little pictures anywhere, directly from a digital camera. That being said, the image quality is pretty poor by modern standards, and the print size isn't terribly useful.

The reason I said the novelty would wear off for adults is because of the limitations of size and quality. Kids, however, seem to love these little tear-resistant, finger-smudge resistant little pictures. They really are quite durable.

Bottom line - if you want to make quick little (smaller than wallet-size) prints from a digital camera without external power, and you don't need them to look perfect, this may be a great choice. If you're looking for true photo-quality prints, however - steer clear.
