So Epson thought it would be a good idea to make a printer out of the cheapest, flimsiest plastic possible. Trying to load paper? Forget about that. Get out a good old pen and paper and copy down that recipe for Vera Cruz guacamole instead. Trying to conserve paper? Also forget about that. Epson wants to make sure that there are no forests left by the year 2035, so they made sure to have their printers suck up about 5 pieces of paper at a time (if you were lucky enough to load the paper in the first place without breaking the loading tray or committing suicide.) Trying to print out a nice color photo of your dead body in a barren Redwoods National Forest with a bowl of guacamole in your cold limp hands? Once again, F.A.T. (forget about that). It's going to have to run a couple of tests first, waste all your ink, and then steal your identity and run off to Cabo with an HP, because in the end, Epson wants you to have as bad a day as possible.
